Welcome to FlipStudy. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using FlipStudy ("Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FlipStudy provides a free platform for creating, studying, and sharing flashcard sets. Our Service includes:

  • Flashcard set creation with smart text parsing
  • Distraction-free study mode with keyboard and touch controls
  • Shareable links to card sets
  • Optional email-based editing via magic links

3. No Account Required

FlipStudy does not require account registration. Anyone may create and study flashcard sets. If you optionally provide an email address when creating a card set, it can be used for authenticating edit access to that specific card set via magic link.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on the Service, including flashcard text ("Your Content").

By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license ends when Your Content is deleted.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right to use all content you submit
  • Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights
  • Your Content does not violate any applicable laws

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or harmful
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service without permission
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Shared Card Sets

Card sets created on FlipStudy are accessible via their unique URL. Anyone with the link can view and study a card set. Do not include sensitive, private, or confidential information in card sets, as they are publicly accessible by URL.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by FlipStudy and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLIPSTUDY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or restrict access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ends immediately
  • We may delete your card sets and associated data

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
